Taiwanese food stall Both Street has partnered with Check In Taipei to release an exclusive menu

Earlier this year, a Taiwanese gua bao food stall on Both Street left local foodies in despair announced their closure. Well, you’ll be happy to know that they’ve partnered with fellow Taiwanese restaurant Check In Taipei to offer a limited-time menu that features revamped versions of Both Street favorites.

Guests can enjoy small night market-inspired dishes such as the Taiwanese-style oyster egg pancakes ($88), which feature plump fried oysters wrapped in duck egg omelet and topped with house-made cucumber and Celtuce salsa. The upscale menu also includes the stand’s signature gua bao ($68) stuffed with beer-battered halibut, romaine lettuce and pickled mustard in rose flower dressing, and Taiwanese preserved beancurd mayonnaise. Finally, Both Street also brought out its ever-popular pressed pastries ($55) and filled them with a Pu’er tea-infused cream cheese blend with tangerine peels that adds a delightful flavor in every bite.

The exclusive Both Street menu is currently available at Check In Taipei’s Yuen Long branch, but if you can’t make the long trek to the New Territories, they tease that the menu will be available at the Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui locations in the future.
