Jennifer Hudson’s ‘Glow’ Fuels Pregnancy Rumors as Fans Notice She’s Mysteriously ‘Covering’ Her Belly

Is Jennifer Hudson pregnant? Some people on social media believe the daytime talk show host is carrying a baby, possibly with her boyfriend Common.

Essence magazine posted a promotional video for 43-year-old Jennifer Hudson on Instagram and Facebook. Hudson wears several outfits, including an oversized white shirt and jacket, as well as a tight black dress.

After what appeared to be a bulge on Hudson’s belly was spotted, Essence’s Instagram comment section sparked speculation that the “American Idol” alum was expecting a baby.

“She (is) definitely pregnant… black, oversized clothes, hands covering her belly,” one person wrote. Another person commented: “Jennifer looks pregnant. The face is radiant.”

One Instagram user dismissed the pregnancy rumors, writing: “The women in this comment section are just… J.Hud is 43 years old and women’s bodies go through many changes. You really should know this by now.

However, on Facebook, one woman commented: “I think she’s pregnant. It looks like a small belly. A second commenter asked, “Is she pregnant?” A third person wondered: “Is this common with her? Don’t see him.

Jennifer Hudson and Common, 52, sparked dating rumors in September 2014 when they took photos on the red carpet at a charity event in Hollywood. They later sat next to each other at a pre-Grammy party in February 2015.

The two Chicago-raised stars continued to appear at events together from 2018 to 2023. When asked about her relationship with Common in September 2022, Hudson downplayed any romantic connections to the rapper.

“People create their narratives about it and it’s like, OK, you know how you feel,” she told “Entertainment Tonight.” “We made a movie together and he played my husband. We need to eat in between these moments.

Common essentially confirmed his relationship with Hudson during a January episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show” this year. The “Glory” singer appeared on the show with flowers for the host.

The Broadway ‘Between Riverside and Crazy’ actor finally made it clear that he was referring to Jennifer Hudson. Common added: “I set my standards pretty high because she had to have EGOT.”

Hudson is one of 21 artists to achieve EGOT status by winning four of the US entertainment industry’s most prestigious awards – Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.

The singer and actress won an Oscar for best supporting actress in 2007 for her role in the musical “Dreamgirls.” Two years later, she won her first Grammy Award for Best R&B Album.

In 2021, Jennifer Hudson received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Interactive Media for Daytime Program for executive producing the VR animated film Baba Yaga.

Hudson won a 2022 Tony Award for producing the Best Musical-winning stage play “A Strange Loop.” Her list of achievements also includes a Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award, BET Award and many more.

As for her romantic ties to Common, Hudson spoke to the Emmy, Grammy and Oscar winner last month.

“He is very passionate about everything he does,” Hudson said. “He leads with his heart and I lead with my heart in everything I do.”

Previously, Hudson became engaged to WWE wrestler David Otunga on September 12, 2008, her 27th birthday. They have one son, David Daniel Otunga Jr., who was born on August 10, 2009. Otunga Sr. and Hudson split in 2017 after ten years of dating.

Common shares 27-year-old daughter Omoye Assata Lynn with his ex-girlfriend Kim Jones. His past relationships include R&B singer Erykah Badu, political commentator Angela Rye, professional tennis player Serena Williams and comedian Tiffany Haddish.
