Front Row shares its favorite restaurants in New York!

Who’s hungry? Fashion month is the busiest time of the year, but chicsters still found time to sit down and enjoy a chic snack (and a cocktail, of course)! We asked those in the front row to share their favorite places in New York – and they did. Read on to see their best restaurant reviews!

The restaurant I have the phone number for!

Oh my god, what’s the best restaurant in New York? It’s probably a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant that doesn’t even have a name in Chinatown. But I love Los Tacos (#1). I ate this for lunch, cactus tacos. It’s literally a food stand. I’m a huge accidental eater. I love Nami Nori on Carmine Street; their temaki rolls are really good.

Tatiana (by Kwame Onwuachi). Yes, it’s number one and there’s hype, but it’s worth the hype. The curry goat patties are absolutely to die for. I love this restaurant so much that I will wait until 4pm to get a seat at the bar to eat there! This is perfect. It’s Caribbean fusion and the chef is from the Bronx and is very inspired by his upbringing, so that’s great.

Popeye’s is at 96th and Broadway because it’s open late!

My favorite is always King (restaurant) on King Street. I’ve been going there for years and it’s definitely my favorite place.

My home is the best when my husband cooks for me! I love eating there. I always say that Indochine is my favorite restaurant. I did my first show there because it’s an icon for me, it’s an icon for the city. I love being in Indochina.

I’m an Italian foodie, so my favorite dishes are always the classics. Palma, Il Buco, Bar Pitti. This is my vibe!

Alexis Bennett Parker, Shopping Content Manager, Elle
I’m the worst person to ask this question because when I eat out, I like to eat vegan food. My favorite vegan place is HanGawi. It’s basically Asian fusion – really, really great. You have to take off your shoes and sit on the floor. It’s a beautiful experience.

Casa Cruz! Very elegant, lots of space, great food. We love vibes!

Sant Abroeus, the one from Soho.

It’s really simple, but I love Kiki. Incredible!

This is going to be controversial, but Brooklyn Chop House! My favorite. I am very simple. I come from a family of chefs, so I like mid-range restaurants. I love Cipriani, but I’m a very reserved person. And of course there is always the Polo Bar. But my husband and I’s guilty pleasure is definitely Brooklyn Chop House.

My favorite thing right now is Alessa’s homemade meatballs – they are absolutely delicious. I also love their rigatoni, braised short ribs and wine selection. Second place is Hold on tight – you’ve been there with me many times! This is a popular place in my area and is open until 2am which is handy. Their wings are divine, their Cobb salad is amazing and they have one of the best charcuterie boards I have ever had in my life. And every time I go to Quality Meats it is delicious. One of my favorite items on their menu is grilled bacon – it’s an appetizer, but with peanut butter and jalapeno jelly. All this sounds really disgusting! However, it is one of the best things I have ever eaten, especially with the bread they bring to the table. It’s just absolutely phenomenal.

I’m a Brooklyn girl, so most of them will be available there. I love Madeleine for its understated chic vibe. It’s perfect for a drink! LaserWolf has some of the best food I’ve tasted in the city, and Egg Shop and Five Leaves are must-sees for brunch. There’s also The Nines and Alessa in Manhattan – I haven’t stopped thinking about their arancini and gelato since I first tried it.

My favorite Fashion Week martini is Hillstone, which is probably the basic answer! But it hits the nail on the head every time.

I love Raoul’s for special occasions! I always try to go there, especially in the summer when they have a really unique menu. It’s wonderful.

It depends if you are downtown or downtown. I love the El Parador center. I love Le Bilboquet in the suburbs. It depends on the mood. Whether you’re in a Carolina (Herrera) or Oscar (de la Renta) mood, or a more Marc Jacobs, hip, downtown mood. Don’t you think so?
