Kristin Cavallari is emotional following the breakup of 24-year-old cowboy Mark Estes

Kristin Cavallari is opening up about her recent split from Mark Estes.

Cavallari, 37, had been dating Estes, 24 – the latter known as a cowboy in the TikTok rodeo collective Montana Boyz – since February this year, before their split in September. Their relationship received a lot of media attention and sparked a lot of discussion on the Internet due to their 13-year age difference.

In the Tuesday, October 1 episode of the “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, the Uncommon James founder opened up about why she decided to end her relationship with Estes.

“I look back at when I was 24 and how much has happened in my life in the meantime and I mean, these are pivotal years,” Cavallari said. “These are my formative years. That’s when you find yourself. he must be able to do it.”

Cavallari continued, noting that she was always aware that the age difference could pose some problems. She later realized that it was better to let him go so that he could “experience life”.

She continued by sharing kind words for Estes, saying that he will “make someone very happy one day” and “have a beautiful family of his own.”

Estes reciprocated this sentiment in a statement to E! News via his representative.

“Mark has tremendous love and respect for Kristin and their time together,” his rep said. “He is focused on the future of his company and the project he is working on with Vice Studios.”

So it’s safe to say there’s no bad blood between these two as Cavallari continues his business and Estes begins to build his own empire.
