Kmart Australia shoppers are going wild for a $179 ‘knock-off’ of the popular $30 Country Road dress: ‘Flattery and stunning’

Kmart shoppers are loving a stylish new $30 dress that fans say is a “knock-off” of a popular Australian fashion brand costing six times as much.

The fashion blogger behind Kmart Insider found what she believes is an affordable alternative to the $179 “Plisse” knit dress from Country Road.

“The fake $30 Country Road dress from Kmart absolutely pisses me off,” she wrote in an Instagram post, along with comparison photos.

A “real” sleeveless knit dress with a wide neckline offered by cheap stores looks almost identical to the expensive version.

The occasion is available in sizes six to 20 and in the colors blue, beige, khaki and black.

The “flattering” dress has been described as the “perfect” everyday summer dress that can be styled in a more formal way.

It has a ribbed crew neck, a comfortable midi fit and is made of EcoVero viscose, polyester and real rib knit.

Shoppers wasted no time in praising the simple yet “cute” style for its effortless style and soft, stretchy fit that flatters most bodies.

“Wow, this is stunning,” one of them said.

“I love this look,” added another.

Many people wanted to pair this dress with Kmart’s “gorgeous” beige Yvonne Moon Crossbody Bag ($18) for a relaxed yet sophisticated look on warm days.

This comes after Kmart released a “super cute” new season set that sent shoppers into a frenzy with its “European summer” vibe.

The Linen-Blend Tie-Front Sleeveless Top ($15) and Linen-Blend Maxi Skirt ($25) are affordable, stylish and easy to put together, and feature “stunning” tie-front detailing.

The set comes in sizes six to 20, comes in black and blue with white pinstripes, also features a “chic” V-neck, and is already sold out in stores nationwide.

“OK, I’m obsessed with this outfit,” one said.
