Honkai Star Rail 2.7 banner set featuring two long-awaited characters

Honkai Star Rail is in the second phase of version 2.5, with version 2.6 coming in just a few weeks. So far, 17 new characters have appeared in the game in Honkai Star Rail 2.x versions, and Rappa is expected to appear in version 2.6. Out of all the 18 new characters released so far, one long-awaited Penacon character is still yet to be released, leaving players wondering why this is the case. This character is Sunday, the main villain of the Penacona incident alongside Gopher Wood. Sunday has long been expected to be a playable character, but surprisingly, he still hasn’t appeared in any of the release banners.

It has been leaked that Sunday and 5-star Tingyun will appear in the 2.7 banners

This is revealed by the latest leak via Uncle posted on Reddit Sunday and new 5-star description of Tingyun’s drip marketing graphics. More importantly, this drip marketing was mentioned in the 2.7 leak, suggesting that both the new 5-star version Tingyun and Sunday will be available in Honkai Star Rail 2.7.

During the Penacony Trailblaze mission, the pioneer defeated Sunday in a battle against the Harmonious Choir boss The Great Septimus, who was controlled by Sunday. After defeating Sunday, he was locked up in the Penacona. During the Trailblazing Mission in 2.3, we last see Sunday with Jade. During this interaction, Jade seemed to have provided Sunday with a lucrative opportunity that could have freed him from prison. Since then, we haven’t heard anything about Sunday in any of the missions, but if the latest leaks are to be believed, it seems Sunday and Tingyun’s rebirth can be linked in upcoming missions.
