Nicole Kidman and Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban are fashion’s new favorite mother-daughter duo

There were two events worth covering during Paris Fashion Week: Rosalia’s 32nd birthday party at the Hôtel Particulier in Montmartre (where Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner celebrated with almost everyone else with a brand ambassadorship) and the Miu Miu dinner party last evening of the spring 2025 season (where Cara Delevingne, Alexa Chung and Little Simz celebrated with almost everyone else with brand ambassadorships).

The best-dressed guest was, of course, stylist Lotta Volkova, who wore strange Miu Miu half-socks and what looked like a Spring 2024 bandage around one toe. It was also fun to see Nicole Kidman posing with her 16-year-old daughter Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban in matching schoolgirl skirts. The actress has been introducing her firstborn child to the world of fashion for the past six months: first as a plus one at Balenciaga’s fall 2024 couture presentation, then as a plus one at Omega’s red carpet event at the Paris Olympics, and then as a new face anointed by Miuccia Prada .

Kidman-Urban opened the designer’s spring 2025 runway this week in a poplin skirt and peep-toe heel ensemble, adding to Miu Miu’s unique ability to transform next-gen nepo kids into bona fide models, among them Esther McGregor, Zaya Wade, Ella Emhoff, and Eliot Sumner. (Remember that it was Ms. Prada who first cast Lila Moss on the runway just days after her 18th birthday during Milan Fashion Week in spring 2021). I imagine Nicole Kidman’s mom will be knocking on Prada’s doors for her own appearance in the coming seasons. She looks good in a school skirt.
