Chicken Big Mac available on October 10 in McDonald’s restaurants in the USA

McDonald’s on Thursday announced the launch of the highly anticipated Chicken Big Mac at participating locations nationwide starting October 10.

The fast food chain says fans in the U.S. have been ordering the Chicken Big Mac since it first appeared on McDonald’s international menus. A variation of the original Beef Big Mac will now be available in the US for a limited time, while supplies last.

“With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we are excited to pay homage to one of our most iconic menu items, the Big Mac, and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans,” Tariq Hassan, chief marketing and customer service officer of McDonald’s USA, said in a statement. “By tapping into some of our fans’ greatest passions, from copycat culture to live streaming, we’re able to serve up more than just a sandwich. There truly is something for everyone in this campaign, and we’re delivering experiences that will surprise and delight them, all before the Chicken Big Mac hits the restaurant floor.”

The Chicken Big Mac is constructed similarly to the Big Mac, but consists of two tempura-coated chicken patties that replace the classic beef patties.

McDonald’s revealed it is behind Chain’s mysterious “McDonell’s” pop-up in Los Angeles last weekend, which featured “The Chicken Sandwich,” deemed by fans to be a McDonald’s knockoff. The “strangely familiar” recipe included two chicken patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese and pickles on a sesame seed bun, served alongside Chain’s signature items such as beef tallow fries, deep-fried apple pie and soft serve.

Streaming star and renowned Big Mac superfan Kai Cenat will help McDonald’s answer the question: Is a Chicken Big Mac a Bog Mac? Fans can follow McDonald’s social media channels to find out when Cenat will invite his famous friends on his live broadcast to taste the Chicken Big Mac and share their reactions.
