Claire Sweeney and Ricky Hatton took a selfie together from Manchester Airport before their holiday in Tenerife to celebrate Ricky’s birthday. The pair have been dating since they took part in the last season of Dancing On Ice and regularly share updates from their time together on social media.

Today, October 4, Ricky and Claire took to social media to update fans on Ricky’s birthday plans. In an Instagram post, Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney posted a photo of the happy couple with the caption: “Off to celebrate my man’s birthday in Tenerife.” Ricky also posted this photo on his social media page.

Former boxer Ricky will turn 46 on Sunday, and fans took to the comments section of the latest update to wish him all the best ahead of the big day. Tom said: “Happy birthday Ricky, have fun guys” and Andrea commented: “Happy birthday Ricky. I hope you and Claire have a great time celebrating in Tenerife.”

Some people commented on their relationship in the comments. One fan wrote: “it’s great to see you both so happy”, another wrote: “you’re having a great time, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”

This isn’t the first time the couple has flown together. In May, they shared photos from their vacation in Tenerife surrounded by friends and looked very happy. Earlier this year, it was reported that the pair were “smitten” with each other and said they had “electric chemistry” since meeting during rehearsals for “Dancing On Ice.”

Speaking about their relationship, Ricky told Prime Casino: “I didn’t go to Dancing on Ice to find romance. I just went in there hoping I wouldn’t break my fucking neck. I have known Claire since I met her at several parties and events over the years.

He continued: “I had my children and she had her children. And 25 years later we found each other. It’s quite a story.”
