Jason Duggar is marrying Maddie Grace much sooner than Duggar family supporters expected

Thank you, I hate it

Jason Duggar and Maddie Grace tied the knot on October 3, a few weeks after she mentioned a spring 2025 wedding in her engagement announcement.

It’s official: the Duggar family had something big to celebrate this week. While Jana Duggar’s August wedding is still being discussed among family fans, another wedding has officially taken place. Jason Duggar and Maddie Grace, his girlfriend of less than a year, are officially married. They said, “I do” at Thursday’s fall-themed ceremony.

Jason Duggar and Maddie Grace are officially married

Jason Duggar and Maddie Grace are officially husband and wife. The couple, who debuted their relationship on Instagram a few months ago, exchanged vows on October 3 in Maddie’s home state of Tennessee. According to People magazine, the couple chose to hold the event in Newport, Tennessee, in part because of the mountain views.

The pair channeled the fall vibe, with Jason Duggar wearing a brown suit and Maddie wearing a long-sleeved gown with an ethereal aesthetic.

The couple celebrated the day with an Italian dinner and dancing with friends and family. According to the publication, Jason and Maddie will settle down in Arkansas after their honeymoon in Italy.

The couple’s sudden wedding confused Duggar family supporters

Although Maddie and Jason announced their engagement, its quick nature surprised some Duggar family supporters. When the couple announced their engagement on Instagram in August, Maddie used the hashtag Spring2025. Although she never shared an actual wedding date, observers were quick to assume that the couple intended to tie the knot in April or May 2025. Instead, their decision to tie the knot in October raised eyebrows.

Although the couple got engaged sooner than most in the mainstream, they are not unique in the Duggar family. Only 35 days passed from the announcement of the engagement to the wedding date. While this is Duggar’s fastest fight yet, it’s not by much. Jedidiah Duggar and Katey Nakatsu got married 49 days after making their engagement public. Most of the remaining couples were married within four months of announcing their engagement.

How many unmarried Duggars are left?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar no longer have many chances to be the mother and father of the bride or groom. Now that Jason and Jana are married, more of the Duggar siblings are married than single. Jackson Duggar and James Duggar are the only two unmarried Duggar boys. They are 20 and 23 years old respectively.

Johannah Duggar, Jennifer Duggar, Jordyn Duggar and Josie Duggar are the only Duggar daughters still at home. Johannah Duggar is 18 years old and her sisters are 17, 15 and 14 respectively. It’s unclear if any Duggar family courtship is ongoing.
