Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu took to social media to celebrate Andhadhun’s sixth anniversary.

It’s been six years since Sriram Raghavan’s gripping crime thriller Andhadhun took audiences by storm. The film, which premiered on October 5, 2018, quickly became a fan favorite thanks to its unpredictable plot twists and stellar performances. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, Radhika Apte and Anil Dhawan, the film made a lasting impact and fans are still celebrating its brilliance.

On the occasion of Andhadhun’s sixth anniversary, Ayushmann and Tabu took to social media to share their excitement. Ayushmann posted a special video on Instagram featuring animated renditions of key characters and iconic symbols from the film, all to the tune of “Laila Laila.” The film ended with a message that read, “Celebrating six years of Andhadhun.”

In the caption, Ayushmann wrote, “6 saal ho gaye, par yeh suspense abhi tak zinda hai! #6YearsOfAndhadhun (6 years have passed but the tension is still alive).”

Tabu also joined the celebration by sharing the poster of the film on her Instagram. Tagging the cast and crew, she expressed her joy with a simple but effective series of clapping emojis.

Fans, delighted with the posts, quickly began commenting to express their admiration for the film, with many urging the team to make a sequel.

A fan recalls: “I still get goosebumps when I screw up the game.” Another added: “Just when you think it can’t get crazier, it gets crazier.”

Meanwhile, one fan jokingly suggested, “Suspense khatam kar do Andhadhun Chapter II mein (End the suspense in Andhadhun Chapter 2),” while another added, “You deserve a sequel.”

Andhadhun is famous for its surprising plot twists, dark humor and brilliant performances. The film tells the story of Akash, a pianist pretending to be blind, played by Ayushmann. His life takes a dramatic turn when he becomes involved in a murder after being invited by Simi (played by Tabu) to perform at her house. Akash unknowingly witnesses the murder of her husband, a former actor. As Simi tries to cover up the crime, Akash’s secret is revealed, leading to a tense and unpredictable battle between the two.

Ayushmann’s role in Akash won him the National Award for Best Actor. The film also won two consecutive National Film Awards: Best Hindi Feature Film and Best Screenplay. In 2018, Andhadhun topped IMDb’s list of best Indian films. It is currently ranked 66th on IMDb’s Top 250 Indian Movies list.
