LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Garth Brooks’ family stands firmly behind him as he faces serious assault charges. His wife Trisha Yearwood and their three adult daughters reportedly believe in his innocence, but he categorically denies these claims.

The 62-year-old country music icon was accused of assaulting a makeup artist in a Los Angeles hotel room in 2019, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in California. Brooks has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them a malicious attempt to extort “multiple millions of dollars” in “hush money” from him.

In the wake of assault allegations against Garth Brooks, a source close to the singer revealed that his wife Trisha Yearwood and their three adult daughters firmly believe in his innocence.

Brooks shares his daughters — Taylor, 32, Aug. 30, and Allie, 28 — with his first wife Sandy Mahl, whom he married in 1986 and divorced in 2000. He first met Yearwood in 1988 and he started dating her after the breakup. Mahla and got married in 2005.

“Garth is known for being a very nice and kind man, so these allegations are very shocking. “Everyone around him, including Trisha and his daughters, believes he is telling the truth,” an insider told Us Weekly.

“Many around him believe it is out of character and something he would never do. Everyone around him is shocked.”

Amid these claims, the source emphasized, “Garth only cares about his family and fans. He is a family man and very down to earth.”

Last month, Brooks took legal action by filing a preventive lawsuit against his accuser, claiming he was the real victim. He accuses her of being a blackmailer who threatened to destroy his reputation if he did not pay her millions.

The lawsuit, filed anonymously in a federal court in Mississippi, came after he received a demand letter from her lawyer even though he was aware that his former makeup artist, identified only as Jane Roe, was preparing to file a civil lawsuit in California.

Brooks’ lawsuit presents a very different narrative from the allegations in Roe’s lawsuit, which claims she was attacked during a business trip to Los Angeles in 2019. Brooks has categorically denied any wrongdoing, maintaining that her accusations stem from a desire for financial gain.

She claims Roe only took legal action after he refused to offer her a paid position with benefits, claiming she threatened to sue unless he paid her “millions of dollars not to sue.”

After learning of Garth Brooks’ family’s support in light of the assault allegations, many netizens took to the Internet to share their thoughts.

One user wrote: “These celebrities need to start limiting their circle now.”

A second user said: “Oh how cute are these woke babies. Now I know where he gets it from.”

A third user thought: “Team Garth!”

One stated: “I believe Garth Brooks. He’s a great guy and I think everyone is just looking for money.”

One person wrote: “I believe Garth Brooks too! “The fact that the accuser did not report the alleged crime to the authorities and recently turned to a ‘civilian’ court shows to me that this is a blow to him from the prosecutor’s side.”

Another commented: “I believe Garth and I are not fans. The alleged “victim” claims something like this happened, but 1. never pressed charges, 2. never applied for or received a protection order, 3. charged him after five years. There also has to be a statute of limitations in cases like this. In the United States, the time limit for resolving a case is two years. This must be the case for cases like this. “I don’t like that his reputation is questioned and his reputation is anonymous.”
