Astrologer Kyle Thomas points out that cuffing season will be “particularly nostalgic” this year due to the many retrogrades that are likely to bring “exes” or “old friends” into your life. “Many people will reunite and try to reconnect,” he says.

Mars retrograde begins on December 6 and lasts until February 23, although we will start feeling its effects as early as October 4, 2024. It initially takes place in Leo, which, according to Thomas, “governs courtship, dating and true love in astrology.”

Jupiter retrograde runs from October 9 to February 4, 2025. Astrologically, it turns retrograde in Gemini, which Thomas says “governs close friendships” and our “close network.” The zodiac sign is also represented by Gemini, causing a “hunger for connection” and “communication” at this time.

When it comes to your zodiac sign’s perfect match, Thomas says it will be the one with the “opposite polarity” (also known as a sister sign). He explains: “In Libra we experience the final solar eclipse, the sign that rules the natural seventh house of marriage, unity and commitment.”

Thomas notes that the Oct. 2 annular solar eclipse could “open the door” for the coming six months. “All season of handcuffs!” – he emphasizes.
