Worst dressed! Raye dressed in a loose sweater and a bold mini skirt with Sophia Culpo as they led the fashion faux pas at the 50th American Music Awards

The 50th anniversary special edition of the American Music Awards took place at LA Center Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday, and stars arrived in their most glamorous outfits.

However, Raye and Sophia Culpo were among the stars who opted for looks that failed to impress on the fashion front.

Raye, who performed at the event, wore an unusually casual outfit for the red carpet, opting for a loose dark green sweater and a mint button-down mini skirt.

Raye completed the casual look with black mules, red lipstick and glasses, paired with statement earrings.

Meanwhile, Sophia – Olivia Culpo’s sister – chose an outdated sequin jacket that didn’t stand out on the red carpet.

Raye appeared in a pink satin slip and sang James Brown’s 1966 song It’s A Man’s Man’s World.

Hailing from London, Raye first hit radio stations with her song The Line, but in 2022 she became a household name with her song Escapism.

Meanwhile, Sophia, 27, Olivia Culpo’s younger sister, opted for a black sequin blazer, which she wore with matching heels – a look that didn’t stand out.

Sophia appeared on the reality show The Culpo Series with Olivia and their sister Aurora.

She also guest-starred in one episode of Only Murders in the Building in 2023.

Social media star Indi Star also missed the mark on the red carpet – she dressed in an extremely casual outfit.

Indi, who is also an actress and dancer, wore a brown blouse, blue maxi shirt and sneakers – a surprising look for a glitzy evening in Hollywood.

Indi wore her locks in waves, opting for minimal makeup and jewelry.

Both Ajani Scott and Kailyn Smith decided to shine on the red carpet.

Ajani’s dress had a plunging neckline and a thigh-high skirt, while Kailyn’s dress had massive cutouts all over the torso.

Country star Kane Brown made a rare fashion faux pas during a special event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the American Music Awards.

Kane wore a fitted taupe cardigan, which he styled tucked into white trousers.

Underneath the cardigan, the artist omitted the undershirt – revealing his tattooed chest.

He added a statement belt and cream shoes to complete his eye-catching look.

Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean looked unrecognizable on the red carpet wearing a sequin polka dot top, black pants and silver shoes.

For the evening awards ceremony, he added bold sunglasses with a white and yellow frame.
