Penn State University Extension Service is hosting a webinar titled “Communicating with Farmers Under Stress.” The event is designed to help participants learn the signs of stress and how to help. It is scheduled for August 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to noon EST. The program is intended for agriculture professionals, credit union workers, farmer family members and concerned citizens.

The session will focus on how to communicate with farmers and their family members and how to respond when they need help. The webinar will help participants learn to build awareness of stressors affecting farmers and their families and recognize signs and symptoms of anxiety and warning signs of suicide.
