‘Severance’ Season 2 Sets Premiere Date, Reveals Teaser Trailer

Cut off season two returns to the office.

The second installment of Apple’s workplace thriller will return in January 2025, the streamer announced Wednesday. The 10-episode season will be released weekly for the first two months of the new year.

A short trailer released on Wednesday revealed the date and took fans inside the iconic elevator that serves as the setting for the series.

Cut offdirector and executive producer Ben Stiller, Adam Scott plays Mark Scout, manager of the mysterious Lumon Industries, a company where employees go through debriefing procedures to divide their memories between work and personal lives. The first season received multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations and won two Writers Guild Awards.

The second season will reunite original stars Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken and Patricia Arquette, as well as new cast member Sarah Bock. The second season will also feature Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban and Merritt Wever.

In Season 2, “Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of toying with the separation barrier, leading them further down a path of misery,” reads a press release. The series was written, created and executive produced by Dan Erickson.

Cut off Season two will debut globally on Apple TV+, with the first episode airing on January 17, 2025, followed by one episode every Friday until March 21, 2025. The return will mark two and a half years since the series premiered in February 2022.
