‘The Duel’ Premieres on the Red Carpet in Indianapolis. Ticket Information

This month, Indianapolis is taking a step toward Hollywood with the theatrical release of “The Duel,” starring Dylan Sprouse, which was filmed in the city.

Sprouse and cast will attend the red carpet premiere on July 28 at the Hilbert Circle Theatre, 45 Monument Circle, in downtown Indianapolis.

Tickets go on sale July 11 – National Duel Day – at 12:01pm on theduelpremiere.com.

Red carpet arrivals begin at 6:00 p.m. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Sprouse, cast and crew at 7:30 p.m. A VIP after-party will be held at Newfields immediately following the premiere.

Admission is $50 for general admission, $150 for premium seating and a drink ticket, and $500 for the VIP package, which includes an after-party at Newfields inside the “LUME Indianapolis presenting Dalí alive” exhibit.

In addition to Sprouse (“The Living in Suite Zach & Cody“Beautiful disaster”), who is also an executive producer, stars Callan McAuliffe (““The Living Dead”) and Patrick Warburton (““Seinfeld”, “The Emperor’s New Clothes”).

The plot follows Woody (McAuliffe), who discovers that his best friend Colin (Sprouse) is having an affair with his girlfriend and challenges Colin to a gentlemanly duel to the death.

The other cast members are Denny Love (““Looking for Alaska”), Hart Denton (““Riverdale”), María Gabriela de Faria (upcoming “Superman”), Rachel Matthews (““Improved”), Christian McGaffney (“Simon”) and Ronald Guttman (Broadway’s ““Patriots”).

“The Duel,” written and directed by Justin Matthews and Luke Spencer Roberts, was filmed at the Inferno Room tiki bar in Fountain Square, the catacombs beneath City Market, Midland Arts & Antiques and Asherwood, the former home of Mel and Bren Simon in Carmel.

The film is the seventh feature film from Pigasus Pictures, a production company founded in 2016 by Indiana University graduates Zachary Spicer and Gordon Strain.

Previous Pigasus projects have been featured at prestigious international film festivals including South by Southwest (SXSW), Toronto International Film Festival, Santa Barbara Film Festival and San Sebastian International Film Festival.

All Pigasus films are shot and produced in Indiana.

Beginning July 31, “The Duel” will be distributed by Lionsgate and shown in more than 500 theaters nationwide.

“The Duel” is rated R and runs for one hour and 35 minutes.
