Kanye West Announces End of Music Career

He is the most awarded hip-hop artist in Grammy history, tied with Jay-Z for 24 Gold Grammy Awards.

American rapper Kanye West has announced his departure from the music industry. Expressing uncertainty about his next steps, the “Ye” artist revealed the decision during a recent conversation with Rich The Kid.

Rich The Kid shared a screenshot of their conversation on his Instagram on Tuesday, in which Kanye West announced that he is stepping away from a professional music career and doesn’t know what else to do.

Rich The Kid, trying to convince Kanye to reconsider, responded on social media: “Retire? Why? How? People need you. The music you (Dollar $ign) and we created is still having a significant impact on culture today in 2024.”

He urged Ye to post “Ye about mine and V2”.

“Let’s start over. The youth look up to you, big brother. Take a break for fashion, but retirement is not the answer.” (Sic)

We don’t know whether Ye followed his advice or not.

Kanye West is one of the most well-known figures in hip-hop to this day. H is known for his diverse musical styles. His music career began when he was a producer in Chicago after dropping out of college.

He rose to fame after co-producing Jay-Z’s 2001 album The Blueprint and later signed as an in-house producer at Roc-A-Fella Records.

In 2004, West released his debut album, The College Dropout, to critical acclaim, and his hit single “Slow Jamz” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
