Fall 2024 TV Schedule: Premiere Dates for New and Returning Shows

The fall season is almost here Us and the TV schedule looks better than ever.

Fans of NBC’s One Chicago can expect all of the shows to return in late September. The trio of shows — Chicago Med, Chicago Fire Department AND Chicago Police— made headlines when several actors from across the series announced their departures.

NBC’s President of Program Planning Jeff Bader assured viewers that he is not worried about the future of the show, despite numerous cast changes.

“Cast comes in, cast goes out,” Bader told TVLine in a July interview. “It’s interesting. Because every year there’s a cast change, and every year someone asks the same question (about the future of One Chicago). But (these shows) just keep going.”

As networks make decisions about their programming, Us Weekly will continue to track what has been renewed and what TV shows have been canceled. Slow Horses was the first show to earn a 2024 renewal. Bader noted that each of the Chicago shows has continued to be a success, adding, “We are thrilled with how the Chicagos are doing on Wednesday. We have no plans to change anything tonight.”


Meanwhile, Abbott Elementary returns for a fourth season, finally giving long-suffering fans the “or did they?” they crave. During the Season 3 finale, which aired in May, Janine (Quinta Brunson) and Gregory (Tyler James Williams) have become an official couple. In the next season, they will explore their new normal at work.

Reality show fans have a lot to be happy about after ABC’s debut Golden Hen Party. After competing for the star of the Golden Knight Gerry Turnerheart at the end of last year, Joan Vassos she is now the main character in the search for “The One”.
