Apple Sets ‘Severance’ Season 2 Premiere, Reveals Teaser

The long-awaited premiere of the second season of the Apple TV+ series Cut off scheduled for Friday, January 17, with one episode, followed by new episodes every Friday through March 21. A quick preview of the new season can be found above.

From author, creator and executive producer Dan Erickson, Cut off follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott), a team leader at Lumon Industries whose employees have undergone a debriefing procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This bold experiment in “work-life balance” is challenged when Mark finds himself at the center of an unfolding mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his job… and himself.

In the 10-episode Season 2, Mark and his friends learn the tragic consequences of neglecting the barrier of separation, leading them down a path of even greater misfortune.

In addition to Scott, the cast also includes Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, Patricia Arquette and new series regular Sarah Bock.

Cut off is produced by Ben Stiller, who also directs 5 episodes this season, in addition to directors Uta Bresiewitz, Sam Donovan, and Jessica Lee Gagné. Season 2 is also produced by John Lesher, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Beau Willimon, Jordan Tappis, Sam Donovan, Caroline Baron, Richard Schwartz, and Nicholas Weinstock. In addition to the main roles, Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette serve as executive producers. The fifth season is a studio.
