UFC Boss Dana White Set to Address Trump at Upcoming RNC Event

Presidential candidate Donald Trump is an icon in the MMA community, and the UFC president himself will deliver a major keynote address at the Republican National Convention beginning next Thursday (July 15-18).

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Trump campaign has confirmed that famously hot-headed UFC boss Dana White will attend the convention in Milwaukee and is scheduled to deliver a speech before handing the microphone over to Trump for his big speech. Trump will accept the Republican nomination at the event, and the hotly anticipated vice presidential candidate is already in place (Could this be Dana??).

Trump and White have also been friends for decades. And for Dana, Trump represents the restoration of sanity in America.

“He’s a very, very good friend of mine,” White previously shared on Fox News. “Donald Trump has been such a good friend to me since the day I met him.”

“Donald Trump saw that (UFC) could be big,” White said. “And he’s an athlete. He loves sports. … He offered us a chance to come to the (UFC) event at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. (He) offered us a very fair deal. We went there and did two events with him. He showed up for the first fight and stayed until the last. He took us in and was great.”

On Trump’s side is one of the biggest names in sports and a true champion in the face of COVID shutdowns.

On several occasions, White has walked out of UFC events with Trump and been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback. After being convicted in a New York campaign finance case, Trump chose UFC 302 as his first public appearance, and fans went wild.

The boss loves Trump, the fans love Trump, hell, even the players love Trump.

White and Trump’s mutual support for each other has been strong for years. Dana also spoke on Trump’s behalf at the 2016 Republican National Convention and the final night of the 2020 RNC.

White’s endorsement of Trump underscores the growing popularity the former president has over incumbent President Joe Biden. While Trump is gaining votes for his presidential platform, Biden is struggling to keep longtime Democrats and donors like George Clooney in his corner.
