73-Year-Old Man Urgently Missing in Baltimore

TRENTON, NJ — Acting Governor Tahesha Way has declared a state of emergency for New Jersey, effective 6:00 p.m. today, due to anticipated severe weather caused by the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby.

This precaution, detailed in Executive Order 364, is in effect in all 21 counties in the state.

Impending severe weather, including heavy rainfall, strong winds and potential flash flooding, prompted the acting governor to urge residents to stay home and avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary.

“I have declared a state of emergency effective 6:00 p.m. today due to severe weather impacts from Tropical Storm Debby,” Acting Governor Way said in a statement, emphasizing the importance of staying off the roads to ensure personal safety and to facilitate emergency response.

Residents are encouraged to visit New Jersey’s official emergency preparedness website, ready.nj.gov, and monitor local forecasts and warnings.

Residents of northern New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area can get up-to-date information from the U.S. National Weather Service in New York, NY, and for residents of central and southern New Jersey, from the U.S. National Weather Service in Philadelphia/Mount Holly.

BALTIMORE, MD — Investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating 73-year-old Paul Banks III, who was last seen on Aug. 8 at approximately 10:44 p.m. in the 700 block of North Belnord Avenue.

Paul Banks III is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs approximately 210 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray pants, and white sneakers. He is believed to be driving a gray 2020 Chevrolet Trax, although the vehicle’s license plate number is unknown.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Paul Banks III is asked to contact police at 911 or 443-984-7385.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — The Philadelphia Police Department is actively seeking the public’s help in locating Shaelynn Wells, an 11-year-old girl who was recently reported missing. Shaelynn disappeared from her home in the 10000 block of Haldeman Avenue and was reported missing by her aunt.

Shaelynn is described as a black female, 11 years old, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 100 pounds. She has short, curly black hair and brown eyes. Police did not provide details about what she was last seen wearing.
