Beyon Announces New CEO

Beyon has announced that Mikkel Vinter will step down as CEO of Beyon after a successful six-year tenure that spearheaded the digital transformation of the Beyon Group. Andrew Kvalseth has been appointed as new CEO effective March 25, 2020.t August 2024.

Andrew Kvalseth has over 20 years of international leadership experience in TMT, financial services, online markets, e-commerce and digital transformation. He has held senior management positions ranging from Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Investment Officer to CEO and President at leading companies including Telenor and Schibsted.

Beyon Chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said: “Mikkel Vinter joined the company in 2019 and we embarked on an exciting journey to transform Batelco and launch Beyon. With Mikkel, his leadership qualities and vision, we have achieved extraordinary results and achievements across all areas of the business, including telecommunications, global connectivity, international investments and digital development.”

Beyon recently announced key appointments to its leadership team. Maitham Abdulla has been appointed CEO of Batelco, Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa has been appointed CEO of Beyon Digital Growth, Reem Altajer has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, Jehan Hasan has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer of Beyon and Isa Alsabea Beyon Chief Investment Officer. Bahrainis now make up the majority of the leadership team, thanks to ongoing executive development programs for succession planning.
