Monyetta Shaw Carter, a Shreveport native, is in town for Humor & Harmony. She’s a RHOA star, actress, business owner, and international artist manager.

Walker is originally from Shreveport; she even has a day dedicated in her name. May 19 is “Pink Lucy Day.” She says she was happy to jump at the opportunity to come back for Humor & Harmony.

“It’s amazing to come back, to see the growth that is here in Shreveport, something that many of us wanted for so many years and we had to leave in order to really pursue our dreams. “So to be able to come back and be a part of something so much bigger than us that helps the community, that helps the city, that keeps the vibe of Shreveport going… it’s an amazing feeling,” Walker explained.

Walker highlighted how much Shreveport has changed and how Humor & Harmony has the chance to be the launching pad for the city’s growth.

“The fact that we are being able to be seen in the light that we needed to be seen in, it allows more opportunities for growth, for infrastructure, for so many things. Like this is a huge economic boost. So it’s just a really amazing feeling to be a part of something that is going to help the people of Shreveport,” Walker said.
