Tens of thousands make their way to sun-drenched Tullamore show

The sun is shining at the Tullamore Show this morning with an expected audience of 60,000.

Organisers of the Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show have developed a transport plan to accommodate around 20,000 spectators travelling from across the country.

The trade stands cover an area of ​​over 80 acres and offer farm machinery, agricultural and industrial supplies, gardening supplies, home and entertainment items, food items, handicrafts, tourist and travel items, fashion and much more.

There are competitions in hundreds of classes and participants have been flocking to the site since early morning hoping to impress the judges and win a share of the huge prize pool.

The first to take to the track were competitors in various livestock breeding categories, and two of them presented their animals on site.

Entries were accepted during the day in the following sections: Cooking, Crafts, Gardening, Art and Photography, Horses and Dogs.
