Carmel Lions Club Announces 88th Annual Grillin’ & Chillin’ Fish Fry

Carmel’s longest-running event returns with culinary delights and fun

The Carmel Lions Club has announced the return of the highly anticipated Grillin’ & Chillin’ Fish Fry event, scheduled for Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24 at the Carmel Lions Clubhouse located at 141 E. Main St.

This year marks the 88th annual Fish Fry, Carmel’s longest-running community event. It’s where friends, family and neighbors gather for an unforgettable weekend of delicious food and fun.

For nearly nine decades, the Carmel Lions Club Fish Fry has been a beloved tradition that draws crowds from across the region. The event has grown from humble beginnings to a Carmel community cornerstone known for its signature sandwiches and homemade sides.

What’s on the menu?

• Corporate menu items: Attendees can enjoy the famous Roundabout Fish Fillet Sandwich, Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, World Famous Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Vegetable Sandwich and Giant Beef Hot Dog.
• Delicious additions: Complete your meal with baked beans, coleslaw, fries and macaroni and cheese.
• Delicious desserts: Be sure to leave some room for a variety of delicious cakes that will satisfy every sweet tooth.

“The Grillin’ & Chillin’ Fish Fry is more than just a fundraiser – it’s a celebration of our community and a way for us to give back,” said Carmel Lions Club President Matt Best. “We’re proud to continue this long-standing tradition and see familiar faces return year after year, as well as welcome new friends.”

Proceeds from the Fish Fry benefit various Carmel Lions Club charities conducted throughout the year, including supporting programs for the visually impaired, providing scholarships to local students at the Indiana School for the Blind and donating funds to local soup kitchens.

Lottery tickets

You can enter to win a $100 gift card to Ace Hardware. Tickets for the drawing will be available at the event: $1 for one ticket or $5 for six tickets. The drawing will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 24. No identification is required to win.
