10 Big Changes We Might See in Apple Watch Series 10

10 Big Changes We Might See in Apple Watch Series 10

While the iPhone 16 series will grab the most attention, the Apple Watch Series 10 will likely also be announced at Apple’s special event on Monday. Few details about the 10th-generation watch series have leaked so far.

Reliable leaker Majin Bu recently took to social media to share 10 things he’s heard from sources about the Series 10. Many of these things have never been reported before. What’s most interesting about this list is that Apple likely wants to emphasize that this will be a 10th anniversary Apple Watch model, which takes on added significance.

As previously rumored, Bu expects the Series 10 models to come in two larger sizes: 42mm and 46mm. Since the Apple Watch Series 7, the watches have been available in 41mm and 45mm sizes. However, those display sizes are expected to remain curved like previous models. Bu has previously said that Apple will use a flat display in this year’s models, like the Apple Watch Ultra series, so perhaps the change was made late in the design process.

The leaker also claims that the angle of the Apple Watch Series 10 is slightly larger to fit the watch band, as the overall shape becomes more rounded. Meanwhile, the body of the watch is expected to be thinner.

Following on from previous Apple Watch iterations, the Apple Watch Series 10 is said to once again be offered in a ceramic version. The Series 5 from 2019 was the last to be offered with the more expensive material. Meanwhile, Apple’s Milanese Loop strap is reportedly changing for the first time since the Apple Watch’s launch; it will apparently be made of titanium.

Speaking of titanium, the material will replace stainless steel as the more expensive option for the Series 10. These models could launch in gold, black, starburst, and the original color of the Apple Watch Ultra series. The gold color is expected to be much brighter than previous versions and will match the gold that will be found on the upcoming iPhone 16.

Again, the cheapest Apple Watch Series 10 should be made of aluminum. Finally, Bu expects the Series 10’s dual-speaker design to match the Apple Watch Ultra.

There’s no guarantee that all of these rumors will turn out to be true. They could be about the upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3, not the Series 10. For example, it would be surprising to see Apple offer titanium options in four colors for the regular Apple Watch model, since the Apple Watch Ultra was previously only available in one color.

We will soon find out which of these rumors are true and which are false.

Apple’s “It’s Glowtime” event will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Monday, September 9. In addition to the new iPhones and Apple Watches, we could also see the launch of the fourth-generation AirPods and second-generation AirPods Max. We’ll also learn when iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and watchOS 11 will be released to the public.
