RAL to Celebrate 75 Years with Be Part of the Art Gala on September 21

On September 21, RAL Art Center will celebrate 75 years of “Bringing Art to the Community and the Community to Art” with Be Part of the Art, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck, 517 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.

In honor of RAL’s colorful history, this will be a one-of-a-kind event that will feature artistic entertainment, engaging activities and tempting cuisine, said chairwoman Laurie McCord.

The fun will include:

• Artists in action. Painter Tommy Fox will create a triptych, while other RAL artists will create works in a variety of media.

• Be a masterpiece. Be part of the art, literally. Participants can have their photos taken with whimsical interpretations of classic masterpieces. Volunteers will circulate with frames, encouraging guests to…
