Judge Mathis promises to get his wife back after she files for divorce

Judge Mathis takes the issue of getting his wife back seriously even though she has filed for divorce, and warns men who don’t put their wives first.

Divorce is never pleasant, and experiencing the end of a relationship in the public eye must be torture. Judge Mathis’ wife, Linda, has filed for divorce after 39 years of marriage, leaving it in disarray.

According to TMZ, Mathis, who admits he is in pain, said he won’t go down without a fight. After immediately revealing that his life is “terrible” amid Linda’s filing, the judge told cameras that his busy schedule played a role in the breakdown of his marriage.

“I’m at the airport now, flying like I’ve been for 25 years… My wife is third, serving the community, taping my show, having fun with her friends,” he said, before advising his colleagues: “Never be too busy or have too much fun outside of your life.”

Mathis revealed further details about the situation and revealed that the two spouses still share a home, so he is hopeful that they will be able to somehow reconcile.

“We’re still in the same house and we’re still friends, and I’m trying to get my wife back,” he said. “I have to show her that… I hope I can show her that when we’re there together, and I hope she doesn’t end the process.”

He also denied cheating rumors and false reports of him having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.
