Kayla Becker (Kayla Braxton): I’ve Come to terms with leaving WWE, I think I made the right decision

About the book:

An eye-opening memoir from a hugely popular wrestling star, detailing family drama, fame, despair and resilience.

Saraya-Jade Bevis, formerly Paige of WWE, is one of the biggest names in wrestling. She is the youngest two-time WWE Divas Champion and the first NXT Women’s Champion. She was ranked No. 1 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Female 50 and was named Diva of the Year by Rolling Stone in 2014. She was also the subject of the critically and commercially successful 2019 film Fighting with My Family, produced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and starring Florence Pugh. But before she rose to wrestling superstardom, she was simply Saraya.

Hell in Boots is Saraya’s true, uncensored story. From her early days in her famous (and chaotic) wrestling family, to leaving home at age fifteen, to carving out her own path in professional wrestling, Saraya has been through hell and back. As she struggles to succeed in the fiercely competitive—and at times sexist—world of wrestling, she has experienced incredible highs and devastating lows. Saraya shares her years of struggling with substance abuse, regaining her pride after her ex’s sex tape leak, adjusting to WWE stardom, overcoming a near-career-ending injury, and triumphant return to wrestling as the AEW Women’s World Champion. Through it all, Saraya speaks her truth in a way she never has before.
