Let’s take a look at everything we know about Season 5 of 9-1-1: Lone Star.

When is 9-1-1: Lone Star premiere and who is returning?

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 premieres Monday, September 23 at 8/7c on Fox. Unfortunately, fans will only get 12 episodes of what will likely be the show’s final season.

More on this later.

With Rob’s return as Captain Owen Strand, the rest of the 126 crew returns, save for one key figure. Sierra McClain, who played Grace Ryder, quietly left the show before filming began on Season 5.

The cast also includes Ronen Rubinstein as TK Strand, Jim Parrack as Judd Ryder, Natacha Karam as Marjan Marwani, Brian Michael Smith as Paul Strickland, Rafael L. Silva as Carlos Reyes, Julian Works as Mateo Chavez, Brianna Baker as Nancy Gillian and Gina Torres as Tommy Vega.

Thanks to the 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 teaser, Jackson Pace returns as Wyatt Harris, Judd’s son. He works at the 911 dispatch center where Grace used to work.

In the footage, fans learn that the season opens with a train derailment that releases a deadly poison into the air, posing a threat to the good people of Austin and the surrounding areas.

It’s time to discuss something that is obvious.

Is 9-1-1: Lone Star ending after Season 5?

While there’s been no official statement that 9-1-1 Lone Star is ending with Season 5, all signs point to it being the case. TV Line recently shared various Instagram Stories from the cast alluding to the conclusion of their time on 9-1-1: Lone Star.

Even Rob admitted in an interview with Variety that the actors began filming Season 5 knowing it would likely be the last time.

However, the feeling of an end ignited in everyone the desire to prove that they still had the strength if they were allowed to continue the performance.

“We wanted to go out and make our case for the value of these kinds of shows, and I think we did a really good job. The stories we were able to tell every week in terms of scope and scale — that’s probably the thing I’m most proud of. They were really mini-movies every week,” he shared with the editorial team.

The actor did not reveal whether 9-1-1: Lone Star will end Season 5 in a series finale style.
