What Vikram said

During the interview, Vikram said, “She is Malayali and I am Tamil… Today, you can live together, but back then it was considered taboo to even talk to a girl, and someone who is not… I am half Hindu, half Christian and she is Malayali, all this happens. But I am glad that I met her and I am glad that she is… After marriage, she was always my wife. She was always this source of support. She is a psychologist but she keeps helping people. She is an angel in a way… When I saw her for the first time, I felt something. Later, she told me that the bells rang for her and something happened that she knew that I was the guy.”

He went on to explain how their relationship developed over the years. “She always sees things in perspective, unless she has a problem with me, then nothing makes sense… She is so different from me, we are like heaven and earth. If I want air conditioning, she says she doesn’t even want a fan; I like to dress brightly, and she says, ‘What’s wrong with you?’… Her family was full of poets and scholars, and I am just an actor. At first she tried to change me, but I said, ‘Let’s get one thing straight, this is my first love, you are my second love, if this doesn’t work, this won’t work.’ Sometimes she would hope that my films wouldn’t work, but now she is obsessed with making my films work,” he said.
