Donald Trump reveals Barron Trump is attending NYU

Former President Donald Trump announced that Barron Trump will attend New York University’s Stern School of Business in Manhattan this fall.

Barron Trump’s decision to attend elite New York University business school was confirmed by his father’s interview with the Daily Mailwhich was published on Wednesday. The former president’s son was spotted arriving in New York this week for the start of his first semester.

The former president said Barron Trump was “a very smart man” who chose “Stern, the business school, which is a great school at NYU” after being accepted to “many universities.”

The news came after Donald Trump noted that Barron Trump had made a choice earlier this month during an interview with the The New York Post.

“He’s in a certain school that’s very good,” the former president said on August 20. “He’s always been a very good student, he’s intelligent.”

Barron Trump is the only child of the former president and his wife, Melania Trump. He is Donald Trump’s youngest child, after Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump with his first wife, Ivana Trump, and his youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump, with his second wife, Marla Maples.

“He’s not a child anymore. He’s just moved on to something beyond childhood,” the former president said of 18-year-old Barron Trump’s college entrance. “He’s doing very well.”

Barron Trump’s enrollment at NYU marks a break from the family tradition of attending the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. His father, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka Trump, his half-siblings, attended Wharton. Barron Trump’s half-sister, Tiffany Trump, also attended UPenn.

“I went to Wharton, and that’s certainly an option we considered,” Trump said. “We didn’t do that. We went to Stern.”

The former president appeared to endorse his youngest son’s pioneering initiative in his latest comments.

“It’s a very high-quality institution,” Donald Trump said of Barron Trump’s choice of university. “He liked the school. We like NYU. I’ve known NYU for a long time. But it’s one of the top-rated universities.”

Barron Trump is rarely seen on the campaign trail with his father, but he received a standing ovation when he appeared at a rally in Florida in July.

The former president credited Barron Trump with helping promote his presidential campaign to a new, younger audience, through a series of recent podcast appearances and interviews with influencers.

“Tell Barron I thank him,” Gen Z influencer Theo Von told Donald Trump as he wrapped up a lengthy interview with the former president last week.

His comments come after the former president told Von, “My son is a big fan of yours,” early in their conversation.

Von has over 7 million followers on Instagram. The influencer’s post about her conversation with Donald Trump on X has reached nearly 42 million views on the social media platform.

Last week, the former president continued to credit his youngest son with playing a key role in expanding his base and bringing “tremendous success” to his campaign.

“Adin Ross, you know, I know people I don’t know well, different generations. He knows them all,” Donald Trump said, praising Barron Trump for exposing him to the influencer. “He knows so much about this,” the former president commented.
