More than 30 years after saying “I do” in a scene from the 1992 film Dracula, Winona Ryder And Keanu Reeves we still call each other husband and wife.

“We text and we always say who it is, even if it says so in the text,” Ryder, 52, revealed on the Monday, September 2, episode of the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast. “So on his birthday, I’m like, ‘Happy birthday, my husband.’ And then he’s like, ‘Hi, wife, I love you. KR 57.’ Every birthday, he’s like, ‘KR 57,’ or whatever his age is. He’s always done that.”

Ryder made fans green with envy when she claimed several years ago that she and Keanu Reeves, now 62, may have accidentally married while filming. Bram Stoker’s Draculathe 1992 film directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

“We actually got married in Dracula,” Ryder said. Weekly Entertainment in August 2018. “No, I swear to God, I think we are married in real life. In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest. We filmed the master and he did the whole movie. So, I think we are married.”

Although the couple are not romantically involved, Ryder has taken to calling Reeves “husband” when they chat.

Reeves noted that Ford Coppola even confirmed that they had performed an authentic ceremony.

“Every now and then I get a text message: ‘Hello, husband,’” Keanu Reeves said during a January 2019 appearance on The discussion“I didn’t really believe her, and then Francis Ford Coppola, the director of Dracula, contacted Winona and said publicly, ‘Yes, it really happened, the priest did a full ceremony,’ and Winona and I got married.”

Reeves later said Squire In November 2021, “Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So, I guess we are married in the eyes of God.”
