When is Married At First Sight UK coming back? News and release date

Forget Love is blind UK (we joke that we can’t get enough) because Married at First Sight in the UK returns to our screens in September 2024 and we can’t be more excited.

The series, which follows couples trying to make their relationship survive after their first meeting at the altar, is set to return soon, and we can’t wait for more chaotic dinner parties and weekly commitment ceremonies. Here’s what else we know about the 2024 series, from its premiere date to its contestants and more.

Married At First Sight UK release date

Big news: the official Married At First Sight UK Instagram account revealed on September 5 that the new series is less than two weeks away. Oh my god. In the caption, they wrote: “Post this in the group chat #MAFSUK is back!” The photo shows that the show will be available to watch or stream on September 16 at 9pm. YES.

This is similar to the pattern in previous years, with season six airing on E4 from Monday 30 August 2021, and season seven airing on E4 from 29 August 2022. Season eight, meanwhile, aired in September last year.

What is Married At First Sight UK?

Married at First Sight in the UK follows participants from across the country who sign up to be “matched” with their ideal partner by a group of experts. Couples are paired up based on answers to a detailed questionnaire and make a long-term commitment to each other on their first date.

The series then follows the two characters as they navigate a series of challenges, including moving in together for the first time, getting to know each other’s families and friends, and making weekly decisions about whether they want to stay together or withdraw from the experiment.

When was season 9 of the British series Married At First Sight announced?

Eagle-eyed fans of the show assumed a new series of the show was coming when they noticed the application page was up and running, looking for contestants. The page read: “Would you marry a stranger? We’re looking for brave singles for potential future series Married at First Sight in the UK. In this unique series about relationships and married life, a group of expert matchmakers will help you find the one.

“Please note that due to the high number of applicants, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that we will be able to respond to everyone, but thank you for taking the time to apply.”
