Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson teases surprise career move

Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has announced he is releasing a children’s book.

Titled Dragon of DreamsThe TV star shared a snippet of the book’s beautiful illustrations on Instagram, showing a baby orange dragon drinking from a stream in the forest while dragons fly through the sky.

In the caption he wrote: “A big thank you to the wonderful Aliya Stevens who created the illustrations for my new book Dragon of Dreams are done. Now it’s time to put it all together and hope people love it as much as we do. Fergus, the Tree Hump I’m still writing, so wish me luck.

His famous friends shared their congratulations, and the actress who plays Cassie Plummer, Claire Sweeney, said she can’t wait to read the book to her son Jaxon.

Irish TV presenter Lucy Kennedy shared: “Great,” while Anthony Partridge joked: “Can you write the words really big and easy so I can read them?”

Ex Shameless star and colleague Corrie actress Sally Carman said the book looked “wonderful”, while Angela Lonsdale, who is married to EastEnders star Perry Fenwick said the book will be “amazing” and she is “proud” of Simon.

IN CorrieHis character Steve McDonald has been struggling with a breakup this year, as his wife Tracy McDonald left him for his sporting idol, Tommy Orpington.

After their affair was discovered and exposed by Tim Metcalfe, Tracy left Steve to pursue Tommy. She and the former footballer moved to Spain before returning to the cobbled streets.

She immediately fell out with Cassie, who now works as Ken’s carer after he had a serious accident at home.

Cassie began to develop feelings for Steve, prompting Tracy to accuse her of only caring about Ken to get closer to her ex-husband. She denies the accusation, but is she telling the truth?
