Shooting suspect arrested at Gainesville youth center

Apalachee High School shooting suspect Colt Gray is currently being held at a juvenile detention center in Gainesville, the Georgia Department of Corrections said.

He was expected to undergo a physical and mental evaluation upon arrival, spokesman Glenn Allen told NBC News this morning.

The suspect had never been booked into a Georgia Department of Corrections facility before this incident, Allen said. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said he will be charged with murder as an adult.
