‘Arcane’ to End with Season 2: First Look at Final Chapter

UPDATE, September 5: Netflix and Riot Share First Full-Length Trailer for Second and Final Season Mysteriousand in addition to being the most extensive look yet at what fans can expect when the series returns in November, the trailer also introduces the first song from the new season’s soundtrack.

PREVIOUS, June 11: Mysterious will end with its upcoming second season. Netflix has released a trailer and some first images for the second and final chapter of its animated series. Season 2 premieres in November on the streaming platform.

Inspired by Riot Games’ massively multiplayer online game League of Legends, the series was co-created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee and follows League champions Vi and Jinx as they become embroiled in a power struggle between the utopian city of Piltover and the oppressed underground city of Zaun.

In this final chapter, Jinx’s attack on the Council leads to a major escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.

The voice cast for the second season includes Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Ella Purnell (Jinx), Katie Leung (Caitlyn), Reed Shannon (Ekko), Amirah Vann (Sevika), Mick Wingert (Heimerdinger), Ellen Thomas (Ambessa) and Brett Tucker (Singed) will be announced soon.

The executive producers of the series are Linke and Marc Merrill. AND Brandon Beck. The animation studio is Fortiche Production. Fortiche directed and produced the animation under the direction of founders Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord.

Arcane Season 1 won four Primetime Emmy Awards in 2022, including Outstanding Animated Program, the first streaming series to win in the category. The series took home the 2022 Annie Awards with wins in nine categories, including Best TV/Media, Best Writing, Best Voice Acting (Ella Purnell), Best Direction, Best Production Design, Best Character Animation, Best Storyboarding, Best Character Design, and Best FX. The series was also recognized by the gaming community, winning Best Adaptation at The Game Awards (2022). Additionally, the album Arcane was nominated for a 2022 Billboard Music Award in the Top Soundtrack category.
