Mr. Tarantini will present the film “Muchachos” at the traditional Urania cinema in Budapest on September 6, where he will sign autographs and greet football fans. The film shows the passionate and deep relationship that Argentine fans have with their national football team, the identification and the deep-rooted importance that the team has in Argentine identity.

These activities significantly boosted exchanges in the field of sports, highlighting the importance of this issue on the bilateral agenda as part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of bilateral relations.

The Argentine Embassy organised Alberto Tarantini’s visit to Budapest with the support of the Hungarian Footballers’ Association, the Hungarian Fair Play Committee and the Puskás Academy, as well as sponsors and Argentine export companies.

Tarantini took part in the Gala of the Hungarian Football Players’ Association in Budapest – in the presence of Hungarian footballers from the 1978 World Cup, he gave lectures to young athletes, watched a Hungarian football league match, gave interviews to the Hungarian press, visited the Puskás Sports Academy and met with prominent Hungarian athletes in order to promote Argentine sports culture among young Hungarians and internationalize Argentine football institutions, highlighting the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Argentina and Hungary.
