Bella Hadid named Chopard’s newest global ambassador

Model Bella Hadid is the new global ambassador for Chopard.

According to a press release from the luxury watch and jewelry brand, the partnership marks a “triumphant return to the fashion scene” for Hadid and “heralds a new chapter for Chopard.”

“I have a deep appreciation for Chopard’s craftsmanship and have been a fan for many years,” Hadid said in a statement. “I am thrilled to be joining the Chopard family.”

The luxury brand feels the same way. “Bella embodies the spirit of Chopard: a harmonious blend of natural elegance and joie de vivre that is truly enchanting and in perfect harmony with what our watches and jewelry represent,” Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director of Chopard, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to embark on this new journey together.”

Hadid is also the star of Chopard’s new “Sculpted by Light” campaign, showcasing the Ice Collection. The campaign “celebrates the purity, appeal and contemporary nature” of the collection, according to a release.

In the campaign, Hadid is photographed against an abstract cityscape backdrop, repeated to create a mirror effect. The campaign features a lot of shadows, in keeping with the campaign theme of “no shadow, no light.”

Earlier this summer, Hadid was photographed exclusively by Hollywood Reporter in a Versace ensemble with Chopard Haute Joaillerie pieces. For a sparkling look, the model opted to forgo a necklace, instead drawing attention to elegant 18-karat white gold earrings, which were adorned with 24.12 carats of diamonds.
