Franciacorta Presents Italian Excellence at the 76th Emmy® Awards

Franciacorta confirms its status as the Official Sparkling Wine of the Emmy Awards for the fourth consecutive year, presenting new collaborations that pay tribute to Italian culture and excellence.

September 5, 2024 – Franciacorta, a symbol of Italian oenological excellence, renews its partnership with the Emmy Awards for the fourth year in a row, bringing a unique touch of Italian style to one of the most prestigious events in the global television and film industry.

The 76th Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, September 15 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. and will air live on ABC at 8:00 p.m. ET and on numerous international TV channels (in Italy, it will be broadcast on Sky Italia on Monday, September 16 at 2:00 a.m. CET). This will be followed by the Governors Gala, a lavish after-party in honor of the Emmy winners, attended by exclusive celebrities and TV personalities from around the world.

This year, Franciacorta will not only present its traditional Franciacorta Bar, offering Governors Gala guests the opportunity to taste different Franciacorta styles and selections from different wineries, but will also present two important new products that highlight the link between Italian art, culture and gastronomy.

The first new addition is the extraordinary presence of Miriam Leone, renowned Italian actress and ambassador of “Made in Italy”, who will be Franciacorta’s special guest at the Emmy Awards and at key events preceding the awards night. Her presence underlines the importance of presenting Italian excellence abroad, not only in the field of oenology but also in the television and film industries.

For this celebration of Italian culture, for the first time in the history of the Emmy Awards, an Italian chef will cook at the gala dinner. Augusto Pasini, renowned chef from Franciacorta, will delight guests with a dish specially created for the occasion. His culinary creation will pay tribute to the gastronomic excellence of Franciacorta, and the menu will tell the story of the art and passion of the region through flavors.

“We are proud to once again represent Italy at the Emmy Awards,” said Silvano Brescianini, president of Consorzio Franciacorta. “This year, with the participation of Miriam Leone and Augusto Pasini, we want to celebrate Italian excellence in all its forms, from wine to food, cinema and television.”

Franciacorta confirms its role as an ambassador of Italian taste and style around the world, combining tradition with innovation in an international context such as the Emmy Awards.

Franciacorta will kick off the Emmy Awards celebrations with an exclusive private dinner on September 12 and conclude on September 16 with a master class dedicated to sommeliers from Michelin-starred restaurants in California. Both events will be held at Angelini Osteria in Beverly Hills, offering guests an immersive experience of Franciacorta’s rich heritage.

Bar Franciacorta will also be present at the main events leading up to the Emmy Awards, including the Creative Arts Emmy Awards (September 7 and 8), which honors supporting actors and those working behind the scenes — production designers, costume designers, sound editors, animators, special effects artists and more — and the Performer Nominees Celebration (September 13), an event for all Emmy-nominated actors, presenters and supporting cast of nominated shows.
