Typhoon Yagi is forecast to maintain its northwesterly trajectory at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour, and its intensity is expected to remain constant or fluctuate slightly. The region from Wenchang in Hainan to Xuwen in Guangdong is expected to bear the brunt of the super typhoon’s direct landfall on Friday afternoon.

Hainan Province issued a first-degree typhoon warning on Thursday, which is valid until Friday. The warning puts the province on the highest alert for typhoon prevention and response measures.
