Nebraska football players quickly take lead over Colorado

For the 74th time — and likely the last in at least a decade — the Nebraska football team will face off against rival Colorado.

The Huskers will host the Buffaloes in Lincoln on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The game will be televised on NBC, marking NU’s second time on the network since it began broadcasting Big Ten games.

The National Weather Service is forecasting sunny weather, a temperature of 25°C and calm winds during the match.

Nebraska opens the season with a 40-7 victory over UTEP, and rookie quarterback Dylan Raiola threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns in his Huskers debut.

CU won its home opener last Thursday, defeating North Dakota State 31-26. Colorado finished last season with a 4-8 record in head coach Deion Sanders’ first year.

NU is the all-time leader at 49-21-2, but the Buffaloes have won their last three meetings, including a 36-14 victory in Boulder last year.
