Eve Hewson in Talks to Join Steven Spielberg’s Event Film

Eve Hewson is in early talks to join an upcoming, untitled film set to be directed by Steven Spielberg, TheWrap has learned. If Hewson does join the project, it would be a reunion for the two, as Hewson also starred in Spielberg’s Oscar-winning film “Bridge of Spies.” The untitled project is set to be released on May 16, 2026.

The actress most recently starred in the new Netflix series The Perfect Couple alongside Nicole Kidman and Dakota Fanning, and will return in November for the second season of Bad Sisters on Apple TV+. Hewson is also known as the daughter of U2 frontman Bono.

Spielberg’s untitled film is based on a story by the writer-director and written by David Koepp, a frequent Spielberg collaborator who also wrote the screenplays for Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

Hewson’s upcoming projects include the Formula One comedy “Downforce” at Hulu and she starred last year in John Carney’s musical comedy “Flora and Son,” which was acquired by Apple. The busy actress’s previous projects include Steven Soderbergh’s “The Nick,” Nicole Holofcener’s “Enough Said” and Paola Sorrentino’s “This Must Be the Place.”

Kriszti Macosko Krieger will produce Spielberg’s film.

Hewson is represented by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Narrative and Sloane Offer Weber Dern.
