Latest: FG announces ₦100m AI fund for Nigerian startups

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, announced the creation of a ₦100 million fund for AI startups in Nigeria.

The AI ​​Fund, in partnership with Google, will run over the next few weeks, with the winners to be announced in October.

“It’s about the network that Google is willing to provide,” said Google spokesman Olumide Balogun.

The fund will have 10 beneficiaries, each receiving ₦10 million. These will be AI-based startups.
