Abhishek Bachchan Announces Divorce From Aishwarya Rai? What is the Truth Behind the Viral Video

Abhishek Bachchan’s old video confirming divorce from Aishwarya Rai is doing rounds on social media again. Here’s the truth behind the clip.

Rumors of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s divorce have been doing the rounds for a long time now. However, it has almost been confirmed that the beloved couple is no more. Their relationship was loved by millions of people and even they are involved in it. Whatever they decide as two people becomes their personal choice. Since they are public figures, it is difficult for them to show that they are “still happy” in their marriage.

Abhishek’s video announcing his divorce from Aishwarya went viral a few months ago where he revealed, “Aishwarya and I, we both decided to get divorced. The last few years have been a bit weird for my daughter Aaradhya but today I’m sharing the reason behind my divorce from Aishwarya.” The video took social media by storm and broke the hearts of their fans. Abhishek also came out and reacted to his viral video calling it a deepfake.

Abhishek’s video announcing his divorce was altered by artificial intelligence (AI). The clip also has a cryptic caption: “I don’t know if this video is real or fake. Till now, rumours have been doing the rounds day after day and none of them has spoken out.”

There are many events where Abhishek and Aishwarya are not seen together. This week, only Aishwarya along with her daughter flew to Dubai for SIIMA Awards 2024, where she won the Best Actress award for Ponniyin Selvan 2, directed by Mani Ratnam. She looked stunning in a shimmering black and gold anarkali suit. Aaradhya on the other hand looked just like her mother at the awards function. She also wore a black shimmering dress. She grabbed everyone’s attention by recording her mother’s speech.

Talking about the winning moment, Aishwarya in her vote of thanks said, “It means the world to me because it was a film so close to my heart, Ponniyin Selvan, directed by my guru Mani Ratnam. And to have my work honoured with the Best Actress award as Nandini in Ponniyin Selvan is actually a celebration of the entire team’s work.”
