‘Happy Gilmore 2’ New Jersey Filming Locations for Adam Sandler’s Movie

Photos of Adam Sandler practicing his golf swing in the sand with a scenic view of the water went viral as filming began on the “Happy Gilmore” sequel. The set, located in Highlands, marks the start of production on “Happy Gilmore 2” in New Jersey.

Last month, thousands of aspiring actors flocked to the Hyatt Regency in Morristown for an open casting call for the Netflix film. Videos posted on social media showed long lines wrapping for blocks and stretching through the city, causing massive traffic jams as participants waited for their chance to be in the film.

The casting call organized by GWCI was first announced in August on Instagram.

Where is Happy Gilmore 2 being filmed?

The company revealed that filming will take place in Morris, Bergen, Essex, Somerset and Monmouth counties from September to November.

Steve Burgers in “Happy Gilmore 2”

Among the local businesses chosen for filming is Steve’s Burgers, a popular restaurant on Route 46. The restaurant owner shared the news in an Instagram post, confirming his involvement in the highly anticipated sequel.

“Honored, privileged and excited to announce that Steve’s Burgers on Route 46 has been selected by @adamsandler and @netflix to film a scene in the new and highly anticipated Happy Gilmore 2 coming soon to Netflix!” Burgers wrote. “We will keep you posted on filming dates so you can meet the man of myth and legend himself! Thanks for all your support and remember to always “play it where it lies.”

Travis Kelce to Make Cameo Role in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

Adam Sandler announced that Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce will join the cast of his upcoming film sequel in a cameo role during an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” telling the late-night host, “Travis mentioned it, so we have something nice for Travis.”

“He’s coming. He’s a really nice guy. You’d love him in real life,” he told his “SNL” co-star. “What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a handsome guy and he’s so funny.”
