Florence Pugh Opens Up About Online Comments About Her Body After She Decided to Go Fully Bare

This new romantic movie starring beloved Florence Pugh and internet boyfriend Andrew Garfield is coming soon to our website 2024 Film Scheduleset to premiere in October. All I can say is, thank God, because I miss the way Florence Pugh strutted down the red carpet. Throughout her career, she established herself as a fashion icon as well as an A-list actress. The Marvel alum has always appeared in looks that were so unapologetically hers, including a shaved head that we now know was intended for a role in We live in timeWhile people he complimented her new hairstyleThe internet hasn’t always been so kind to Florence’s style and body.

During the promotion We live in timethis Midsummer the actress sat down with British Vogue to talk about her whirlwind career over the past few years. They touched on all the important topics: her Oscar-nominated performance in Little womenroles in two of the biggest hits of recent years, Oppenheimer AND Dune: Part Twoand her move back to London. But she also took the opportunity to open up about how online comments about her body affected her decision to go fully bare in 2022.

(The internet) is a very mean place. It’s really hurtful to read how people are mean to my confidence or mean to my weight. I never feel good. One thing I’ve always wanted to achieve is to never sell someone else something that’s not the real me… I don’t think confidence is about people liking me. I think I just don’t want to be anyone else.

In this day and age, I’m not sure why we still shame women for their bodies and fashion choices. And while she was “freeing the nipples” in a sheer pink Valentino dress dress, she absolutely rocked her look. But the reaction was quick, and the actress previously shared why the shame she experienced it was so terrible.

However, she didn’t let the haters stop her from dressing the way she wanted and stood her ground by stepping out in an even cleaner look since that first stunning event. Don’t worry honey the star has always been honest about her thoughts on trolls, and their words clearly have no effect on her self-confidence. Now, she says it’s more than that, it’s about knowing herself better than ever.

I’m not a model. It’s a whole other version of myself that I don’t necessarily believe in. You have to believe that you deserve to be on these pages as beautiful. But now I know what I want to show. I know who I want to show. I know who I want to be and I know what I look like. There’s no more insecurity about who I am.
