West and Swift’s rocky relationship dates back to 2009, when the rapper stormed the stage to interrupt the singer as she accepted the award for Best Female Video at the MTV Video Awards.

Taking the microphone from Swift, West told a shocked audience that Beyonce should have won for the “Single Ladies” instead.

“Yo, Taylor,” West, 47, said at the time. “I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.”

Swift, 34, later offered her forgiveness to West via lyrics from her song “Innocent” which was featured on her 2010 album, Speak Now.

Because honey, there’s always been some bad blood between Taylor Swift and Kanye West. The decades-long feud between the two began in 2009, when West ambushed Swift as she accepted the award for Best Female Video at the MTV Video Music Awards. As she began her acceptance speech for “You Belong With Me,” West (…)

However, when West mentioned Swift’s name on his 2016 album “Famous” and claimed that he “made that bitch famous,” it created even more animosity between the two.

West later defended the song’s lyrics to X and even insisted that Swift give him her blessing before the song’s release. (It was later revealed that during their phone conversation, Swift only approved the line, “I feel like Taylor and I might still have sex.”)

When Swift denied that the conversation happened as the rapper suggested, West’s then-wife Kardashian posted a video of West and Swift on the phone discussing the song and calling Swift a “snake.”

Swift withdrew from the group after intense backlash, but returned to release her 2017 album, Reputation, which features references that attack both West and Kardashian.
