Zach Bryan Says He Prefers Kanye Over Taylor Swift In ‘Drunk’ Tweet

Zach Bryan may risk “Bad Blood” Taylor Swift after he started hitting on her while “drunk.”

The 28-year-old country music star threw a mild insult This Tortured Poets Department star when he wrote in a post shared via X on Tuesday, September 17, that he preferred Kanye West to her.

According to Diversity In a report published on Wednesday, September 18, Bryan also attacked Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce in the same post.

The post begins with the words “eagles > chiefs,” before Swift is attacked with the words “Kanye > Taylor… Who’s with me?”

Bryan appears to have quickly regretted his comments after receiving negative backlash from Swift’s fans. The singer backtracked and apologized for his remarks, and now appears to have deleted his account entirely.

“Guys, I love Taylor,” Bryan said, before blaming alcohol as the reason for his post. “I was listening TTPD last night and “Thank You Aimee” came on and I was drunk tweeting about Kanye. If anyone took this seriously, please know that I love both artists so much and I think we’re in a really beautiful time for music.”

West and Swift are known for their feud that spans over a decade. The song Bryan references, “Thank You Aimee,” is widely considered a diss track against West and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

West and Swift’s tumultuous relationship began in 2009 when the rapper took the stage to interrupt the singer as she accepted the award for Best Female Video at the MTV Video Awards.

Taking the microphone from Swift, West told the shocked audience that Beyoncé The song “Single Ladies” should win.

“Yo, Taylor,” West, 47, said at the time. “I’m so happy for you. I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.”

Swift, 34, later offered West forgiveness in the lyrics of the song “Innocent,” which appeared on her 2010 album. Speak now.

Moving on to X, West later defended the song’s lyrics and even insisted that Swift had given him her blessing before releasing the song. (It was later revealed that during their phone call, Swift had only approved of the line, “I feel like Taylor and I might still have sex.”)

When Swift denied the conversation went the way the rapper suggested, West’s then-wife Kardashian posted a video of West and Swift talking on the phone about the song and calling Swift a “snake.”

Swift withdrew after a wave of criticism, but returned to release her 2017 album, Reputation, which includes references to West and Kardashian.
